We provide aviation maintenance practical training under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) aircraft maintenance apprentice regulations.
The FAA issues an aviation mechanic certificate with an Airframe (A) rating, a Powerplant (P) rating, or both (A&P) ratings to qualified applicants.
To obtain an FAA mechanic’s certificate, the apprentice will need to complete either 18 months of practical experience for the powerplant (P) or airframe (A) rating or 30 months of practical experience for both (A&P) ratings.
Then, the apprentice needs to pass four or five FAA tests (depending on the rating sought). The tests are: a general written test, a powerplant written test, an airframe written test, an oral test, and a practical test.
